Running a school group of several schools: each at home, the network in common
A school group is neither one big school nor a mere sum of independent schools. Each school keeps its own head, classes and documents, but people move around, students sometimes change school, and the group’s management wants to keep a grip on the essentials. Sahel EDU, multi-school management software, gives each school its own address and data, and pools people, transfers and the honour rankings.
What a group of schools expects from its software
In a network, each school must be able to work on its own without seeing anything of its neighbours, while the group can still follow what needs following. The same needs come back from one group to the next:
- An address and a workspace for each school.
- Data that never mixes.
- People who have a single account, even when they work in two schools.
- Student transfers that keep the trace of the pathway.
- Families with a single login for all their children.
A separate address and separate data for each school
Each school has its own subdomain. Its data is strictly partitioned: a school never sees another’s, apart from the history of a transferred student, which opens with the agreement of the school of origin. Roles are read in the current school only: the deputy head of one school has no rights in the other.
Two-step authentication is compulsory for the head, the deputy head and the accountant of each school, sessions last eight hours at most, and backups are encrypted and made every hour. The data belongs to each school, which can export it.

- One subdomain per school.
- Strict partitioning of data.
- Roles given school by school.
- Compulsory two-step authentication for the head, the deputy head and the accountant.
People shared across the network
People and accounts are shared across the network. A teacher who changes school keeps their account; a staff member can hold several posts in the same account, with different roles depending on the school. The person’s official document is recorded once, encrypted, with a duplicate check.
For families, a parent has a single login, created from an official document, for all their children, even spread over several schools in the network. And in the timetable generator, a teacher shared with another school in the network is taken into account: they are never placed in two places at once.

- One account per person, whatever the number of schools.
- An encrypted official document, with a duplicate check.
- One parent login for all the children in the network.
- Shared teachers taken into account in the timetable.
Student transfers between schools in the network
When a student moves from one school to another in the network, they keep their network student number. The receiving school files a request, the school of origin decides on the departure, and the student’s history opens only with its agreement. The leaving certificate is issued with a number, and its register keeps the trace.
A transfer outside the network goes through the usual documents: numbered leaving certificate, school attendance certificate, academic transcript and school record book, with a QR Code once the school’s opening authorisation has been verified.

- Transfer request, decision by the school of origin.
- Same network student number.
- History opened with agreement.
- Numbered leaving certificate and register of leaving certificates.
Network honour rankings, oversight and the Network plan
A school that has attached schools is the head of the network. The network honour ranking combines the honoured students already published by each school; the names of students from other schools are masked, and the head of the network honours only its own students. Honour rankings never rank the weakest.
Each school keeps its own dashboard. To follow several schools, the “Network” plan exists, by quotation: describe your group to the team, who will tell you frankly what is ready and what remains to be adapted.

- Network honour ranking, with names masked.
- One dashboard per school.
- “Network” plan by quotation.
- No ranking of the weakest students.
Starting with several schools
A membership request asks, for each school, for an opening authorisation (or, for a public school, an act of creation), because the certificates are signed and can be verified by anyone. Each school can start with its own free trial.
To save time, the SAHEL AVENIR SARL team can take over each school’s lists (students, staff, classes, subjects, fees, timetable) under the turnkey digitalisation service, a separate paid service billed once. The guided import checks each line before writing, and running it again creates no duplicates.

- Opening authorisation for each school.
- Lists taken over by the team, or guided import.
- The head’s first sign-in secured by a two-step authentication code.
Frequently asked questions
Do schools in the network see each other’s data?
No. Partitioning is strict, except for the history of a transferred student, which opens with the agreement of the school of origin.
Can a teacher work in two schools with a single account?
Yes. People and accounts are shared across the network, and roles are given school by school.
What happens to the history of a student who changes school within the network?
The student keeps their network student number. The school of origin decides on the departure, and the history opens with its agreement.
How is a network of schools billed?
The “Network” plan is negotiated by quotation with each group. No price appears on this page: see the Pricing page.
Can a group with schools in several Central African countries use it?
Sahel EDU is today designed, validated and usable for schools in Cameroon. For a group’s schools in another country, the application already reads in French, English and Arabic and counts in CFA francs, but the country’s official levels, exams, calendars and report cards are set up with our team, school by school, before opening.
Can we try it before committing?
Yes. The free trial lasts 30 days, with no commitment. The price is then negotiated with each school and can be read on the Pricing page.
Try Sahel EDU for free
Try Sahel EDU free for 30 days, no commitment. Afterwards, the price is negotiated with your school and confirmed in writing.
