Sahel EDU

Run a maahad or a Franco-Arabic school in Arabic, without makeshift tools

Islamic institutes and Franco-Arabic schools run two languages, sometimes two curricula, in the same school. Sahel EDU treats them as such: Arabic is not a translation added afterwards, it reads right to left everywhere, from the report card to the teachers’ screens.

Arabic from start to finish

  • An Arabic interface, right to left, with the Arabic numerals ٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩.
  • The student’s name and the school’s name in Arabic, on the report cards and documents.
  • A report card entirely in Arabic, with the basmala and the Hijri date if you wish.
  • A registration file where the name in Arabic is enough.

Two languages, one school

A Franco-Arabic school keeps its francophone and Arabic sections in the same tool, each with its own subjects, report card and teachers. Everyone reads the interface in their own language: French, English or Arabic.

Quran follow-up

The juz learned by each student are tracked in the application, juz by juz, and every stage reached stays recorded in the student’s file.

Frequently asked questions

Can the report card be printed in Arabic only?

Yes. The report card can come out entirely in Arabic, with the logo in the centre, or in a bilingual version, depending on what your school asks for.

Can Arabic-speaking teachers and parents read everything in Arabic?

Yes. Everyone chooses their language and, in Arabic, the screen is displayed right to left.
