Sahel EDU

Software that speaks English too: anglophone and bilingual schools

In Cameroon two sub-systems live side by side, sometimes in the same school. Sahel EDU treats the anglophone sub-system just like the francophone one: the same tools, with its own classes, exams, marking and language.

English for everyone

  • An interface, report cards and documents in English.
  • Every teacher, parent or student chooses their language: English, French or Arabic.
  • The school’s public website, published in English.

The GCE and marking

GCE classes have their own subjects and exams, and marking follows the school’s system: out of 20, out of 100, in letters or in GPA depending on the chosen scale. A mark is always brought to the scale of its assessment.

A bilingual school, without double entry

A bilingual school keeps its francophone and anglophone sections in the same tool, with the same students, the same parents and the same fees, and one report card for each section.

Frequently asked questions

Can anglophone parents read everything in English?

Yes, from the parent space to receipts and report cards.

Does the software know the GCE?

Yes. The GCE is one of the exam classes handled, with its subjects and scales.
