The Cameroonian report card, calculated and printed without Excel
At the end of every sequence or term, the same chore: copying the marks, calculating averages, working out ranks, writing comments. Sahel EDU does these calculations from the marks entered by the teachers and produces a report card ready to print, in the name of your school.
Sequences, terms and annual average
The year is divided as it is in Cameroon: sequences make up a term, and the annual average is worked out from the terms. The coefficients are those of each subject and each stream, and every mark is brought to the scale of the assessment (out of 5, 10, 20 or 100).
What the report card contains
- The marks of each sequence and the subject average, with its coefficient.
- The student’s rank in each subject and overall rank.
- The class statistics.
- The name of the teacher of each subject.
- The distinctions and work sanctions decided by the class council, according to the thresholds set by your school.
- The comments, the mention and the decision.
Class council and publication
The class council has the averages, ranks and proposed distinctions in front of it, then its decisions are recorded. Results are only visible to students and families once the management has published them.
The report card of a school whose opening authorisation has been verified carries a QR Code: anyone can check that it is authentic, which stops forgeries. The report card comes out in French, English or Arabic, right to left.
Frequently asked questions
Can the report card be adapted to our school?
Yes. The report card carries your school’s logo, name and official letterhead, and its language (French, English or Arabic) is chosen when printing.
Do marks have to be entered twice?
No. Teachers enter their marks only once, from their phone or a computer: the averages, ranks and report cards follow from them.
